Plan introduction(Smelt Fishing in Furano (Half-a-day Tour)
Smelt fishing is one of the classic winter activities of Hokkaido, and this tour is perfect for everyone from beginners, as we prepare everything for you!
Kanayama-ko (Kanayama Lake) completely freezes in Hokkaido’s fierce winter, and it becomes one of the most famous smelt fishing spots in Hokkaido.
Smelts caught in Kanayama-ko is reputable for its flavor and for not having any fishy smell as Kanayama-ko is also known for having one of the best water quality in Hokkaido.
After we catch the fishes, we will cook them into tasty tempuras!
If you love tempuras, you must taste smelt tempura.
They are delicious!
This activity will be done in a tent built in the middle of a frozen lake in mid winter, so make sure you wear lots of warm clothes such as ski-wears, hats, gloves, and boots.
