This is a tour of popular sightseeing spots in Shiretoko Utoro, carefully selected by a local guide!
The guide will drive you around, so even small children, the elderly, and people who are not good at exercise can easily enjoy the charms of Shiretoko!
All of the places you will visit in this plan are very popular tourist spots!
Since being registered as a World Natural Heritage site, the Shiretoko Five Lakes have been attracting tourists from all over the world, and many people say this is the reason they came to Shiretoko!
The Shiretoko Five Lakes have been attracting tourists from all over the world since they were registered as a World Natural Heritage site.
The Shiretoko Goko route changes depending on the time of year: from April to the end of July, the route is an elevated wooden path (only one lake), and from August to the time the park closes, it is a small loop (one or two lakes). The 800-meter one-way walk to one of the Shiretoko Five Lakes is refreshing as you look out over the Shiretoko Mountain Range and feel the fresh breeze of the Sea of Okhotsk.
In early autumn, the Shiretoko Goko lakes can be seen covered with snow caps, and the different scenery can be enjoyed in different seasons.
In addition to the Shiretoko Goko lakes, there is also the Shiretoko Pass where you can see Mt.
If the weather is fine, we will also visit Cape Puyuni, where you can enjoy one of the three best sunsets in Hokkaido as it sets into the Sea of Okhotsk.
If you are lucky, you may encounter wild animals along the way! If you are lucky, you may even see wildlife!
From the Shiretoko Nature Center, we will also take you to the promenade to the Frepe Falls, which flow quietly into the Sea of Okhotsk.
This is also known as Maiden’s Tears, and is a spot where you can dynamically feel the unique atmosphere of Shiretoko, where the sea and mountains are one.
If you wish, we can also take you to Kamuiwakka Yunotaki, a secluded area where the waterfall itself is a hot spring! (+4,000 yen/+1-2 hours), please let us know when you make your reservation!
