This is a one-day tour departing from Sapporo to visit Lake Toya and Lake Shikotsu area where you can feel the rich nature.
This is a full-day tour that will fill your heart and stomach with a lunch of fresh scallops and a snack of homemade gelato from the farm cafe using freshly squeezed milk!

Highlights of this tour

Lake Shikotsu

Lake Shikotsu is the most beautiful lake in Japan.
It is the second deepest lake in Japan with a maximum depth of about 360 meters.

The overwhelming beauty of the water attracts many tourists every year, and many activities such as kayaking and canoeing are carried out here.
The area around the lake is lined with small restaurants and souvenir shops, where you can enjoy strolling around.

Mushroom Kingdom

A souvenir store selling mushrooms and Hokkaido products.
On the way to the lake, you can also stop for a restroom break.

You can buy a set of four types of mushrooms, such as shiitake and beech shimeji mushrooms, as well as many mushroom dishes, such as mentaiko nametake and grilled garlic nametake.
There are also many other dishes available for purchase, making it a service area of sorts.

Lunch at Lake Toyako

Lake Toya, created by a huge volcanic eruption, is the site of the G8 Hokkaido Toyako Summit, and the surrounding area has a beautiful natural beauty typical of Hokkaido.
“The beauty of the lake is so overwhelming that it has been selected as one of the 100 most beautiful places in Japan, one of the 100 best travel destinations in Japan, and one of the 500 most beautiful roads in Japan to walk on.

We will also have lunch at the restaurant “Sentouan” on the second floor of the Toyako Wakasaimo Honpo Toyako Main Store.

You will have a meal of scallop rice with fresh scallops from the local Eruption Bay.

Visit to Lake Toya Mt. Usu Geopark 

The word “geopark” is a combination of the words “geology” and “park. The Lake Toya Mt. Usu Geopark is a natural park covering an area of about 1064 km2, including part of the Shikotsu-Toya National Park.

Mt. Usu is an active volcano that still erupts once every 20 to 30 years, and you can see the crater from the walking trail, so you can feel the power of the volcano.
You can also enjoy the magnificent view from the ropeway.

*Because the ropeway is closed from February 12th to 28th, the tour will be changed to Showa Shinzan Bear Farm.

Lake Hill Farm

At Lake Hill Farm in Lake Toya, you can enjoy the most popular gelato at the cafe attached to the farm.
There are a total of 20 flavors to choose from, and all of them are excellent gelato with a gentle milk taste and moderate sweetness, typical of Hokkaido desserts.

Silo Observatory Tour

The Silo Observatory is the most spectacular spot in the Toyako area where you can see the lake up close.
There is also a store where you can buy souvenirs of Lake Toya.

Susukino Crossing

A well-known landmark in Sapporo. When you think of Susukino, this is the place! Whether you’ve already been to Susukino or you haven’t yet, be careful not to miss your chance to take a picture.

Odori Park (in front of Sapporo TV Tower)

Last but not least, Odori Park (in front of Sapporo TV Tower) is another famous place in Sapporo.
The tour will end when you arrive at Sapporo Station with a view of Odori Park.
