Plan Introduction (Mysteries of Hokkaido: Kaminoko Pond Night Photo Tour)
This is a night tour to explore Shiretoko at night with a local guide.
We are headed for Kaminoko Pond!
Kaminoko Pond is located deep in the mountains where underground water from Lake Mashu gushes out.
It is called “God’s Child” Pond because of the legend that it is formed from the underground water of Lake Mashu (Kamuito = Lake of God).
During the daytime, Kaminoko Pond is a beautiful cobalt blue pond.
At night, it is naturally pitch-dark, but when a spotlight is shone on it, the fantastic blue Kaminoko Pond comes to life!
While the blue color looks refreshing during the day, visitors can enjoy its mysterious appearance at night.
This is a spot that is hard to reach at night unless you are accompanied by a guide who knows the local area well.
Although you will be traveling by car, you will be walking through a forest that is home to many wild animals such as Ezo sika deer and brown bears.
The guide will take care not to startle the animals and, above all, will guide you with your safety in mind, so you can enjoy the tour with peace of mind.
If the weather is good, you may be able to see a collaboration of the star-filled sky and Kaminoko Pond!
Enjoy the scenery in the clear air, and take some great commemorative photos.
Since this is a short evening tour, it is also a great way to make the most of your time.
How about making memories of a special trip that is not easily experienced?
Come and make great memories with your family and friends!
Tour guides are not fluent English speakers but they will try to communicate with you at their best.
So please be patient and enjoy communication with local Japanese!
Thank you for understanding.
