Plan Introduction (Otaru & Yoichi sightseeing 1 day tour)

Many people travel to Hokkaido and stay overnight in multiple areas.
While major cities such as Sapporo and Asahikawa have well-developed transportation networks such as JR and bus services, some areas are not easily accessible.

For example, Yoichi Town, which became one of the most popular sightseeing areas in Hokkaido after its name became nationally known through the morning TV series “Massan,” is relatively close to Sapporo and Otaru, but is a bit difficult to access from Asahikawa, another popular sightseeing area.

Since you have come all the way to Hokkaido, we hope you will enjoy visiting both areas!
Therefore, Basho Trip has prepared a special course that takes you from Asahikawa to Yoichi by cab.
We will guide you through the course with a nice special offer that allows you to visit Yoichi while stopping at famous places.

You can choose from the following two types of sightseeing cabs.

Model course: Asahikawa to Suganawa “Kitakaro” (Morning)

In the morning, we will pick you up at your accommodation (hotel) in Asahikawa by cab.
Those staying in Yoichi can pack their luggage in the cab for easy transportation!

The first stop is “Kitakaro,” a famous confectionery store that reigns supreme among Hokkaido souvenirs.

You can buy some of Kitakaro’s confections around Sapporo Station or at the airport, but the Sunagawa main store’s appeal is that it offers almost all kinds of confections (except those limited to other stores), has products only available at the main store, and has a café attached!

In the popular café, visitors can enjoy cakes, parfaits, and soft-serve ice cream in a relaxing atmosphere that is hard to buy as souvenirs.
Furthermore, since lunch menus such as spaghetti and omelette rice are available from 11:00 am, Kitakaro fans can stay a little longer here and have lunch.

Model course:  Suganawa to Otaru, and Yoichi (Afternoon)

After enjoying Kitakaro to the fullest, take a cab to your next destination, Otaru.

While access from Yoichi is good, we are happy that you can enjoy sightseeing without leaving your luggage in the cab, making efficient use of your limited time.
As long as time permits, you can explore the popular Otaru Canal.

Sushi

If you are not having lunch at Kitakaro, there are many restaurants and stores selling snacks around Otaru Canal, so it is recommended to look around while eating.

With a sightseeing cab, you can enjoy the sights and activities to the fullest!

Then, after getting in the cab, we will finally go to our final destination, Yoichi.
After your tired body is well rested in the cab, we will take you back to Yoichi Station or your accommodation.

This plan has a fixed sightseeing route.
This plan is available all year round, so cab transfer is recommended, especially in extremely hot weather and winter time.

Yoichi has many attractions including the NIKKA whisky factory, and is also within easy reach of the Shakotan Peninsula, famous for its Shakotan blue!
Basho Trip also offers a variety of plans, so if you are interested, please take a look at the plans below.

This is a fixed plan that cannot be changed.
For those who wish to change some of the sightseeing spots, or have a particular spot they really want to stop by, we offer the Customizable Plan.

In the Customizable Plan, you can freely combine sightseeing spots in Asahikawa, Furano, and Biei.
