Plan introduction (Vegetable picking & pizza cooking Tour)
In this tour, you will harvest seasonal vegetables such as mini-tomatoes from Matsutsuru Farm in Minami-Furano City and make a pizza with the vegetables you harvest.
They love the nature of Hokkaido and moved here to work, eat, live, and connect.
They practice regional circular agriculture.
The farm has four daughters who help with the harvest when they are out of school and also help with the younger children.
If you are attending with your child, the interaction between the children will be memorable for them.
You can harvest asparagus from late May to early June, mini-tomatoes from late June, and sweet corn from late August, depending on the time of year.
You will have the opportunity to harvest mini tomatoes, the farm’s signature vegetable.
You can pick and sample the colorful mini-tomatoes, including about 10 different types of mini-tomatoes.
After the harvest experience is over, we’ll have a pizza making experience!
The vegetables harvested at Matsutsuru Farm are used to make pizzas.
Of course, the pizza sauce used in making the pizza is also homemade by Matsutsuru Farm.
Once you’ve made a good pizza, the next step is to bake that pizza in the pizza oven!
Baking pizza in a pizza oven is another priceless experience!
Watching the pizza oven bake and eating a freshly made pizza will be a great experience.
Once it’s baked, we’ll eat it outside, picnic-style!
It tastes even better when eaten outside than it usually does.
Even children who say they don’t like mini-tomatoes will be surprised by the sweetness of the freshly picked mini-tomatoes!
Many of the children no longer hate mini tomatoes through this experience!
Please enjoy these in-season vegetables with your children and create wonderful family memories!
