Plan Introduction (Tokachi Snowshoe – Full Day Trail)
This plan is a full-day activity where you can enjoy walking on snowshoes through the snow fields around the Tokachi River.
The Tokachi area, where you can experience this plan is rich in nature, and you can enjoy the endless horizon, cattle and horse grazing, and other gentle scenery that you may imagine in Hokkaido.
This tour will take you on a walk through the snowfields of Tokachi, which is full of Hokkaido’s unique characteristics, wearing snowshoes, which are called “kanjiki” in Japanese.
Snowshoes are mountaineering equipment for walking in snowy mountains.
By wearing snowshoes under your shoes, anyone can easily walk on unfamiliar snow-covered paths.
There is no particular skill required, so even if you are not used to walking on snowy paths, you can enjoy the great outdoors without any concerns!
You will spend a full day exploring the snowfields, mainly in the forests and mountains, where humans rarely set foot, so you can enjoy nature as it really is.
The course will change depending on the time of year and the physical strength of the participants, so it depends on the luck of the day!
If the timing is right, you may even have an encounter with wildlife, so just imagine the excitement!
In this plan, you will not only be guided around the field by an experienced guide, but you will also have plenty of time to take pictures.
A light meal of hot sandwiches and soup is also included, making this a very economical plan.
Of course, even though it’s a long trail, it’s mainly a walking plan, so you’ll be walking at a leisurely pace.
Even those who don’t usually exercise can participate, so please join us to make a memory of your trip to Tokachi with your family and friends!
