Plan Introduction (Luxury Ice Wakasagi Fishing in Sapporo (Free shuttle))
Wakasagi (smelt) fishing is a popular winter activity in Hokkaido.
You will be picked up in Sapporo and take a roughly 40-50 minute drive to the wakasagi fishing spot.
We will set up a large tent as pictured for participants to fish inside.
A hole is drilled into the ice and participants may drill their own if they wish.
Cookware is set up to make fresh wakasagi tempura on the spot!
We have cute Scandinavian wood cups to enjoy hot wine and chai tea. (Drinks are included)
Typical wakasagi fishing is done on a small chair, but our tour offers 2 seaters and 1 seater with a drink holder.
Sit back and relax while you fish for wakasagi!
The tent is spacious and large, offering a relaxing ambiance for guests as they enjoy the wakasagi fishing experience.
Participants will also be accompanied by seasoned instructors who will share tips and advice for wakasagi fishing, so no worries if you don’t have any prior experience!
Our guide will assist you from putting bait on to unhooking fish to make the experience hassle-free as possible!
Participants can also enjoy fishing outside if the weather is permitting.
Have a taste of your own fresh wakasagi after fishing!
