Plan Introduction (Half Day SUP Experience at Lake Shikotsu)
This tour offers SUP, a water sport that originated in Hawaii, at Lake Shikotsu.
Lake Shikotsu is known as the most beautiful lake in Japan.
Lake Shikotsu is easily accessible as it’s an hour drive away from Sapporo and 40min from New Chitose Airport.
Under the right conditions, the lake surface can reflect the sky and the mountains while boulders and pebbles are visible through the clear waters, hence being named the most beautiful lake in Japan.
SUP, Stand Up Paddleboarding, is a popular activity where a rider stands upright on a large board and uses a paddle to propel through the water.
Standing solo on a board may look intimidating at first but there is no need to worry.
The board used for SUP is very wide, engineered to provide stability so all ages can enjoy the activity.
This plan includes a free shuttle service within central Sapporo.
Beginners are encouraged to participate as safe lessons and paddling instructions are given prior to the activity.
Last but not least, we do take pictures during the activity and data are yours to keep at no extra charge!
