Plan introduction (The Palette Hill Cycling Tour )
This plan is a one day bike ride with a view of a vast agricultural landscape.
The cycling course is a popular course where you can enjoy the charms of Hokkaido to the fullest, passing over “Palette Hill,” which is dazzling with the bright colors of the four seasons, and seeing horses playing at a thoroughbred farm.
This course is recommended for beginners, so you can enjoy cycling with a good breeze.
Palette Hill, not far from New Chitose Airport, is a hilly area on the way to the east hill from Route 337.
The guide in charge of this tour will search for and find the area of Higashi Chitose, Hayakita, and Abira, which you don’t often see in guidebooks.
As the name implies, Palette Hill is a magnificent place with a palette of colors in each of the four seasons.
For example, from late May to mid-June, canola flower is a must-see!
The town of Anpira is famous for itscanola flower fields that cover the entire town in yellow, and tourists come from all over Hokkaido to visit.
The canola flower field that fills the gentle hillside is a magnificent sight that gives you a taste of the vastness of Hokkaido.
From late September to mid October in Hokkaido, you can enjoy a beautiful contrast of yellow and green with sunflowers in full bloom.
In addition to the spectacular scenery, there are stylish cafes and restaurants, a thoroughbred ranch, and locations famous for Japanese beer commercials, making this 15-30km course easy for beginners to join!
Our experienced guides will control the course according to your level and condition, so you can rest assured.
On the way, you can also enjoy lunch at one of the recommended lunch spots where the local guide will take you.
Depending on the day, the guide will take you to a restaurant that serves soup curry and other delicious Hokkaido food! (The lunch fee is not included.)
Soft ice cream made with delicious Hokkaido milk is also available to finish off your lunch.
You will be able to decide your favorite lunch with your guide!
If you’ve never ridden a road bike before, don’t worry!
Before the ride, the guide who is a cycling instructor (certified by Japan Cycling Association) will give you a lesson on how to ride the bike, so even beginners can enjoy the bike.
Take a bike ride through the wilderness, where you’ll forget about your daily life!
You may discover something unique to a bicycle trip.
