Plan introduction (Nopporo Forest Park Cycling Tour)

In this plan, you will ride mountain bikes through Nopporo Forest Park.
Run through the virgin forest while enjoying the seasonal scenery!

Nopporo Forest Park, located in the Nopporo Hills, straddling the three cities of Sapporo, Ebetsu and Kita-Hiroshima, is a vast park with a rich natural environment that is rare in Japan, where many virgin forests remain even though it is located in the suburbs of a large city.

About 80% of the 2,053 hectares of the site is national forest and is a bird and animal sanctuary.
As a result, a large number of plants and animals have been identified in the park, including about 110 species of trees, more than 400 species of wildflowers, more than 140 species of birds, and more than 1300 species of insects.
If you’re lucky, you may encounter rare flora and fauna, such as Hokkaido squirrel and the natural monument, black woodpecker.
Throughout the year, you can enjoy the richness of nature in every corner of the park.

The bike path is not just a flat road, even though it is a park. You’ll also be challenged on mountain roads that racers use!
In the middle of a virgin forest that you wouldn’t think you were in the suburbs of a major city, you can directly experience the breath of the forest from the rustling of the trees and the sound of birds.

It’s a short plan with a distance of about 10 km and an hour and a half of time, so feel free to join us.
You can enjoy cycling in the wilderness in no time at all.
