Plan introduction (Niseko Nature Cycling Tour)
This plan will take you to one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, Niseko, and Yotei, one of Japan’s 100 most famous mountains in Hokkaido, on a road bike.
Mt. Yotei, also known as “Ezo-fuji” because of its beautiful silhouette, which resembles Mt. Fuji .
In the summer, only the upper part of the mountain is left with snow, and it turns into a two-tone color of white and blue of the mountain surface.
The surrounding area is rich in nature and there are many famous water spots where snowmelt gushes out.
In this plan, the guide will take you through a variety of courses to suit your level, from beginner to advanced.
The course for beginners will take you to the Makari Flower Center, a roadside station selling a variety of flower-themed products and fresh agricultural products, and the Ostrich Farm in the midst of magnificent nature, while enjoying lunch at the roadside station.
On the mid-level course, you can enjoy sweets made with milk from Niseko’s bounty, and stop at the Milk Studio where you can take a photo on a pasture roll with Mt Yotei in the background.
If you’re confident in your strength, you can challenge yourself to an advanced course that takes you along the Niseko Panorama Line, Road 66!
Registered as one of Japan’s 100 most famous roads, the winding road is popular with driving and touring enthusiasts.
There is also a 100km plan that includes a stop at Oyunuma, a hot spring swamp located along the Niseko Panorama Line.
Cycling isn’t the only attraction of the plan.
You can also enjoy delicious local lunches and sweets, and buy seasonal vegetables such as asparagus, potatoes and corn at each roadside station.
Before the tour, the guide, who is a cycling instructor, will give you a lesson on how to ride your bike, so beginners and those who have never ridden a road bike before will not have to worry.
